Ramon Carreté Mora (1938-1990)
He was born in Catllar (Tarragonés) in 29 of Nov~er, and he studied at the Tarragona School of Arts from 1952 to 1956. By the hand of the sculptor Lluís Saumells, he joined at the Maesana School of Barcelona, where he was studied ceramícs -from 1956 to 1962-. There, he was a pupil of Josep Llorens Artigas and Francesc Albors.
In 1963, he received a scholarship of the Diputació of Barcelona to travel to Italy, and in 1964, he received another of the French Instítute of Barcelona to go to Paris.


He visited severas Oriental countries to know their ceramics technics and, Japan, by the knowledge of Sahi Hamada, finally, marked Ramon Carreté and his conception of ceramics.
In 1966, he started his labour as ceramics' teacher at the Tarragona School of Arts, where he was given classes until his death. Always Carreté arranged his ceramics work with his painting and his drawing, which follow showing the same characteristics that his ceramics.
