Lluís Saumells Panadés (1915-1999)
He was born in Gironella (Berguedá) in 12 of March and he was died in Tarragona in 10 of June of 1999.
In 1934, he realized his f irst exposition at the Ateneu of Tarragona.
In 1946, he travelled to París, where he resided at the Spainls School thanks to a scholarship, granted by the French Government, and, in 1947, he continued in París, with a scholarship of General Direction of Cultural Relationships of Spanish Government.
In 1949, he returned to Catalunya and he was mentioned director of the Tarragona School of Arts.
During his artistic trajectory, he has realized expositions in severas European and North-American cities.
The representation of human f igure has been a constant in his sculptural and his pictorial work.
